Welcome to the One/Day Project
Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.
Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

I went to the beach tonight, and took this photo. There's a guy fishing, but of course it's the clouds and sky that I was really taking a photo of.

Tonight was a different sort of desperation shot. I went around the house and took a photo of every single one of the lights in our house. We had 32, but I cut it down to 30 so it would fit a grid better. Each of the photos is cropped so the lights are centered and roughly the same size, but otherwise I didn't edit.
It reminds me of the album cover for No Code, although after comparing the two, they're quite different.

We had 32, but I cut it down to 30 so it would fit a grid better. Each of the photos is cropped so the lights are centered and roughly the same size, but otherwise I didn't edit.
It reminds me of the album cover for No Code, although after comparing the two, they're quite different.

A rose with a twist of the camera. I first tried to twist the rose, but it didn't work because the stem wasn't straight enough. It's not exactly what I was going for, but oh well.

This is a quick detail shot of a wood post of a fence next to the beach (hence the sand). It was an incredibly significant trip for us, as it was the first so-called outing since this.

After I started working on this photo, 'branch' started seeming like a very strange word. BRANCH. Not a very pretty word, really.
Anyways, it's the local branch of the library. It's over-processed a bit, but that's what all the cool kids are doing these days. Gotta love that clarity slider.

Very much a desperation shot. I'm not sure if you're actually supposed to drink from this or not - it came with flowers in it, but they've since died, as flowers tend to do after multiple weeks. They had a good run, though.
