Welcome to the One/Day Project
Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.
Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

I felt the need to burn off some energy tonight, so I walked to the ocean and back - about 4 miles. My final destination was Ocean/California, at Palisades Park. There is a bench/sculpture reminiscent of a ship. It overlooks the California Incline, which is a steep slant of a road that takes you from the bluffs down to PCH. It's scheduled to close soon to be rebuilt, which will cause some definite traffic issues.
I actually took some pretty cool photos of the road, but I wasn't satisfied with the handheld quality. I'll go back with a tripod, graduated ND filter and my D7000 sometime and show you that one.

These eye glasses were made in China, destroyed in Los Angeles. They caught my eye after nearly running over them with my bike. They blend in very well with the newly paved road.

A quick and dirty light painting I made by setting a small flashlight on the counter and moving the camera. Very much a desperation shot, but with a fun reason - I've lost 20 pounds in the last couple of months, thanks to Weight Watchers (mostly). I've actually lost 21.5, but that would have been way too hard to do, at least as a desperation shot.

I did what this woman did just seconds before - finished my drink before setting it on the moving tray thingy (I'm sure it has an official name). I hope she doesn't mind being photographed - it happened very quickly. I was impressed with how this came out, so I left it as it was SOOC. SOOiPhone to be exact.

Today was a found photo, meaning I walked into the kitchen to fill my water bottle and this is what I saw. I thought it looked cool, so I tweaked it a bit and took a photo. Twelve photos, actually, but this was the best one.
It's a photo about the lighting more than anything else, but I had to have something in the frame.
