Week-long trip to Maine, filled with lobsters, blueberries, rugged coastline and a wedding! Many of these shots are from Acadia National Park. Don't forget to click the "Map This" button to see where all of these shots were taken.

Eartha
The world's largest globe at the DeLorme headquarters in Yarmouth. Buy 4 atlases, get 1 free! I had to stitch together 2 shots for this - it's enormous. (Hopefully you didn't notice the artifacts on the right side of the globe, on the Eastern side of South America)
Trout
I was skeptical about the LL Bean store in Freeport, but wow, what an amazing store. It's ridiculously huge, open 24/7, and they have tons of neat things! For example, a giant fish tank with trout that has a viewing portal where you climb under and inside the tank!
Penobscot Narrows Bridge
Instead of taking the 95, we took a very slow coastal route all the way from Kennebunk to Bar Harbor. We saw quite a few neat things, including this shiny new bridge. When I took this photo, Google Maps shows it as half completed in satellite view.
Ticket Booth
On the Bar Harbor pier. This is where we picked up our tickets for the Frenchman's Bay cruise the next day.
Orange Lichen
This bright orange lichen was everywhere. It makes everything look old and neat.
Boat Ramp
In Bar Harbor. I liked the reflections from the lights.
Steering Wheel
Does this have a more technical name? I don't know anything about ships. This was taken while on board the Margaret Todd, which sailed us around Frenchman's Bay.
Coastline
One of the Porcupine Islands around Bar Harbor - Burnt Porcupine, I think. I like this shot because it shows the water, the rocky coast, and the trees. Pretty typical of the area.
Lobster Buoy
These things are everywhere. They're in almost every shot of the ocean from the entire trip. We learned all about lobster fishing/trapping on our boat tour of Frenchman's Bay, including how reproducing females are marked to show that they're off limits. When you get a lobster license, you get a unique color and pattern for your buoys so you can tell them apart.
