Along with my wife and mom-in-law, I visited Orange City, Iowa in late April for my grandmother-in-law's 100th birthday. The small town (pop. 6k) is a Dutch enclave with windmills, wooden shoes and over half a dozen reformed churches. Most of these photos are from a single day that we spent driving around. A few at the end are from Omaha, where we flew into and out of.

Today my grandmother-in-law joined a very select group of people that have lived to be 100 years old. Do you like her 'bling' shirt? Happy Birthday Wilmina!
My wife and mother-in-law joined other family (22 in all) out in Orange City, IA, where Wilmina was born and raised, married, had four kids of her own, and will one day be buried in a local cemetery next to her late husband. Despite having two knees and a hip replaced, she walks every day and is remarkably active even for someone 20 years younger.
Her retirement home put on a great program, and people young and old - mostly old :) - enjoyed cake and ice cream. Good times! Besides Wilmina, my wife and I each have another grandmother living - I hope we get to do this again!
