Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

Here we are jumping, because... well, why not?

This is our anniversary shot! My wife is wearing a flower and I'm wearing a bow tie - we wore them on our wedding day.

Long Journey
Badwater Basin
Don't worry, this couple didn't go much farther. It wasn't hard to walk on (unlike the Devil's Golf Course), but the salt flats are so incredibly vast that I'm not sure how far you could get. You know what would be fun? Mountain biking across them. Of course that's not allowed, but it would be fun.
Badwater Spring
Badwater Basin
Here is it - the lowest point in the United States at 282 feet below sea level. Near the edge of the salt flats is Badwater Spring, which is not 'bad' water, just really salty. It's a natural spring and with a few others like it, supports a rare snail and some other life, too.
However, the first white guy to discover it couldn't get his mule to drink from it, so he dubbed it Badwater.

Dante's View
From high above at Dante's View, you get to see some intersting colors and shapes that are hardly visible from the valley floor.
