Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

Eucalyptus Sunset
The sun set while we were back at the Goleta Amtrak station (just a platform). With dark clouds in the background, these eucalyptus just exploded.
Butterfly Sign
Whoa! That's the biggest butterfly I've ever - nope, just a sign.
Eucalyptus
Looks like fingers... giant wood fingers.
Butterflies
The butterflies hang out high up in a eucalyptus grove. They don't appear very vibrant because their wings are all closed, so we only saw the dull underside.
Butterflies
Although there were supposed to be much, much more of them, it was still neat to see these monarchs clumped together.
This is the road as we got closer to Avalon - it's lined with Eucalyptus for miles.
10/9/08
Flowers of the Eucalyptus erythrocorys tree, which is native to Western Australia. I walk past these every day on my way to work and it was about time I took a photo. Sadly the lighting conditions weren't too great, so I feel I didn't do the flowers justice, but it's all good, I'll try again another day.
