Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

2013-04-15 Standing Still
Today started OK, very sad that it didn't end that way. This is an experimental shot using the panorama function of my phone and basically throwing it around.
I made some neat self portraits, too, but I wasn't happy enough with the results to make any of them the photo of the day. Also, the method makes me extremely nauseas.

_12/12/12_ Reflective Floor
Happy 12/12/12! We will all be dead before another date like that rolls around. Except maybe some little kids - they might make it. But they'll be very old by then.
Anyways, this is a floor. A shiny floor.

_05/15/12_ No Pets
The only clue that this was a pet store (other than the sign that's still out front) is a single empty aquarium. I couldn't get a good composition with it, though, so I focused instead on this door and area lit by the single overhead light. Boy, I sure hope some giant corporate store moves in soon!

_07/05/11_ Tired Sean
Remember my friends from last Thursday? Well today is their actual last day in town, so a fairly large group of us went out to dinner and then back to their empty apartment for some champagne and chocolate. This is Sean, lying on the empty apartment floor. It's a bit grainy because it's an iPhone photo, but I like the lines and the glare off the floor.
Jenny and Jaime, we'll miss you!!!
