Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Electric Fountain Santa Monica / Wilshire According to the interwebs, this is the Electric Fountain, built in 1931. Robert Merrell Gage was the sculptor and Ralph Carlin Flewelling was the architect.
Native American Woman Santa Monica / Wilshire This figure tops the Electric Fountain at Santa Monica and Wilshire. We were pretty happy when we got to this intersection, but it also marked the end of all the pretty Beverly Gardens Park scenery.
Leaves on Grass Santa Monica / Canon The sun was close to setting at this point, making some cool shadows with the leaves and the grass. Again, feels like Fall.
Giant Robot Poo Santa Monica / Crescent Or a maybe it's supposed to be a rock... I don't know. Sure is shiny, though!
Satyr Fountain Santa Monica / Alpine This 4-satyr fountain was in front of the 2nd pergola we passed in Beverly Gardens Park.
Snails Santa Monica / Hillcrest Ah, these must be the elusive Beverly Hills Tree Snail, a species that I just made up.
Red Leaf Santa Monica / Doheny Feels like Fall here in Beverly Hills. After a short stop at the fountain, we headed down the dirt path through Beverly Gardens Park that goes along Santa Monica Boulevard for 1.5 miles.
Beverly Hills Dog Santa Monica / Doheny We took a small break when we got to the border of Beverly Hills. A lady with a dog was also sitting at the fountain while her dog ran around.
Spiky Santa Monica / Doheny Awesome green and sharp tree. I forget what species it is.
