Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Figueroa Looking South
Looking In, Sorta A skyward view at the front of Disney Concert Hall, where you can see the tree-like HVAC structure inside.
Wet Scales The seams of the metal were slanted, but the water dripped vertically, of course. Made an interesting pattern.
Wet Rail We met on the steps of Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Snail A bit strange that last year's first photo of the walk is also of some sort of invertebrate on a wall. Really.
_11/17/12_ Yarn Bombed Today was the 2012 Great Los Angeles Walk, which took us from Walt Disney Concert hall to Santa Monica and Ocean - over 16 miles. It rained quite a bit at one point, and it was difficult to walk that far in general, but I was determined because last year we didn't quite make it and had to take the bus part of the way. This year I made it! UPDATE: more photos are posted! GLAW 2012 [last year]
Mormons Santa Monica / Selby And finally, the last photo I took on the walk was here - our local Mormon Temple. Shorly after this, we had to give up on the rest of the walk and take a bus home, our feet just weren't up to the task of walkign the rest of the way to Santa Monica / Ocean. Next year, though! We had a great time seeing Los Angeles, including things we would have only noticed while walking.
Ten One Hundred Santa Monica / Avenue of the Stars This monolithic building is in Century City and has its own valet lane. Very fancy.
Fire Alarm Santa Monica / Moreno We couldn't resist checking out the crazy shimmering building that is home to Maison Martin Margiela, some fancy store.

And finally, the last photo I took on the walk was here - our local Mormon Temple. Shorly after this, we had to give up on the rest of the walk and take a bus home, our feet just weren't up to the task of walkign the rest of the way to Santa Monica / Ocean. Next year, though!
