Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Ocean View Overlooking PCH. We took a group photo and then headed up to Wokano for our 'after party' where I had fun pigging out.
Made It! Here's me at the ocean! I didn't have any photos for the last 4 miles, mostly because I ended up chatting with other walkers for the last stretch. It was funny that I got separated for at least half the walk, but then we all kind of came back together towards the end.
Freeway Overpass #4 And finally, we pass under the 405. Not a great photo, but I made sure to include one from each time we went under a freeway. It wouldn't be the Great Los Angeles Walk without it, imho.
Last Year's Bench This bench was where my wife and I caught the bus home last year, as I could barely walk at this point. I got great satisfaction walking by it, knowing that I would make it all the way to the ocean this year.
Empty Car Wash No one was working or getting their car wash due to the rain.
Mormon Temple The tower at the mormon temple, with lots of ominous clouds.
Vacancy! Many miles after my last photo, I took a shot of this sign on the Little Inn.
Fountain The Electric Fountain at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica, which marks the end of the fancy Beverly Hills section. Also, at this point it started pouring rain for quite a while. I kept walking, though, and made it all the way to the Westfield Century City mall before seeking shelter. Of course it stopped raining just a few minutes after that.
Root Clump Things Near the giant Beverly Hills sign is an enormous fig tree with these crazy root clumps growing down from the branches. I think that's what was going on, anyways.
