Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

This is not a hallway.
These are about 20 metal bookends all stacked together next to a window. Using my compact, I was able to stick the lens into the 'tunnel' they created and compose this photo. Ah, the wonderful things you find in a library...

Tonight I went to see Mike Theiss speak at the Annenberg. He's a storm chaser and he showed some amazing photos and video of hurricanes and tornadoes. Check out his website - www.extremenature.com. It was a really interesting talk and I'm glad there are people like him doing that. I don't think I'll ever be one of them, but I can fantasize.
This is one of the towers outside the Annenberg... not the most inspired shot, but I like the black and white treatment with the fading vertical lines. There were certainly no 150mph winds, but it was pretty gusty so I'm glad I got a sharp shot.
