Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Dirt Road Dusk NW of Orange City After the sun set, we drove around on some of the unpaved roads outside of the city. We saw a pheasant, a fire and two dead pigs. Weird.
Shed? Another shot of the grain elevator complex. It was really cool to walk around (I'm sure we weren't supposed to) because of the massive scale of it. But yet the architecture is so simple - it's really just a bunch giant column-shaped containers for grain.
Silo Ladder I guess you can't really climb this anymore because of the missing rungs, but wow - scary.
Crank After the sun made a brief appearance towards the end of the day, we stopped at a grain elevator so I could walk around and take photos. This series of cranks and pulleys pours either corn or soybeans into a truck.
Water Tower 2 So yeah, there are two bright orange water towers in Orange City. This one's even labeled!
Phone Booth How freaking great is this?! It's a phone booth! And it's a windmill!!! Thinking back, I really should have made a call from it. Oh well.
Lamp On the main drag of downtown, I found this sharp-looking lamp on a nice teal wall. I took a photo.
Sioux County Courthouse Very cool building, very prominent in the town.
Tulip Bed I must admit, it was a little sad to see all of the tulip plants coming up but no flowers. We'll have to come back for the tulip festival one of these years.
