Welcome to the One/Day Project
Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.
Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

This is a photo through a bunch of structural glass panes at the new (opened today) Apple Store on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. It's enormous compared to the old one, and features a pretty spectacular curved glass roof. Taken with my iPhone, of course.

Today was my last day of work until 2013, and I think this is a fitting photo with that in mind. Of course, this was the morning, not the afternoon, but whatever. I took a few photos using the AE/AF lock on my phone, waiting for people to walk by.

This is the ceiling of the Powell Library rotunda, and it's very plain compared to the nearby reading room, which is all sorts of crazy-ornate wood. I edited this on my phone using Snapseed, which I'm a fan of. I'm not usually a fan of those things, but in this case it's definitely a more interesting photo and I think it's still true to the subject.
