Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

2013-05-08 Living Wall
Thanks for all the comments yesterday, I'm glad you liked my microwave tribute :)
Today's photo is part 2 of a previous photo - Dormant Wall. Just about 1.5 months ago, this wall was completely barren, and now it's completely covered. I'd say it was taken from the same spot, but my point of reference was so obscured that I'm not sure. Yay for spring!
And I realize 'living' is not the opposite of 'dormant'. Deal.

2013-04-07 Succulent
A large succulent (wish I could be more specific) I saw while walking around. I may have taken a photo like this before... and I probably will again. But they look so cool!

__02/13/13__ Sad Balloon
I'm guessing the birthday was a few days ago. This is my first color photo (or partial color, anyways) in almost a week. Huh.

_12/14/12_ Morning Light
Today was my last day of work until 2013, and I think this is a fitting photo with that in mind. Of course, this was the morning, not the afternoon, but whatever. I took a few photos using the AE/AF lock on my phone, waiting for people to walk by.
Cheers!

_12/02/12_ Wet Plant
It rained today, and this is a plant in our front yard that got wet.
More exciting than that are these photos from Big Bear, where we were last weekend for Thanksgiving and our Anniversary: Big Bear | Nov 12

Hollow Log
A picture-perfect hollow log filled with dead leaves.
_11/20/12_ Progression
Desperation shot of some fun fall colors at UCLA. I wasn't inspired working in Lightroom, so I went back to my phone and edited in Snapseed. It's a bit cheesy, but it does show off the colors, which was what grabbed my attention.

_11/04/12_ Caterpillar
As mentioned in yesterday's photo, we went apple picking today, which was a lot of fun! Pressing our own cider was also a fun activity, although now we have more cider than we're going to be able to drink. The ranch is next to nature trails that pass by water, where I spotted this large caterpillar. I waited for it to crawl a little ways up the log before snapping this shot.
It didn't come out as sharp as I'd like, but it's still cool. I like the blurry oak leaves in the water.

[last year] one of my orangest pier shots...
_07/07/12_ Agapanthus Bud
This agapanthus bud really caught my eye because the sun was just barely hitting it and making it glow. The yellow-purple gradient accentuated the effect.
