Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

Waterbucks Eye-to-Eye
Kruger National Park
The waterbuck on the left was the clear winner in this fight. A little way down the road was a group of females, probably the reason for the fight.
Waterbucks Sparing
Kruger National Park
Two waterbucks fighting. It wasn't much of a fight, more of a confrontation. They did but heads a couple of times, though.
Waterbuck
Kruger National Park
Nice horns.
Lion Yawn
Kruger National Park
Is there anything cooler that seeing a big cat yawn? Probably, but not much.
Lion
Kruger National Park
Surveying his domain? Sure... actually he's just looking over to see where his brother/friend went, which was about 5 feet away.
Groggy
Kruger National Park
Another shot of the sleepy lions.
Lion Standing Up!
Kruger National Park
A lion standing up! This was pretty much the most exciting thing we saw them do. Of course, they're nocturnal so I can't really blame them.
Who's There?
Kruger National Park
Two male lions sleeping/cuddling/spooning under a small tree. The laid there for most of the time, but I like how this one looks like we disturbed it from it's sleep. Not that I blame it, we did.
Giraffe Fight 5
Kruger National Park
Dark giraffe looks defeated, but it's actually just another break in the fighting. Our guide told us the color isn't significant, the left giraffe isn't older or anything like that. Just darker.

The waterbuck on the left was the clear winner in this fight. A little way down the road was a group of females, probably the reason for the fight.
