Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Lights at Night City lights abstract taken from the train at night. Unfortunately we didn't get far after this photo was taken - we were stopped for 3 hours at the Van Nuys station because of a bomb threat.
Trains Interesting sort-of symmetry at the Goleta Amtrak station just before sunset.
Eucalyptus Sunset The sun set while we were back at the Goleta Amtrak station (just a platform). With dark clouds in the background, these eucalyptus just exploded.
Oso Flaco Lake I wish I had more time to photograph the lake, but I spent most of my time at the dunes. When we first passed the lake on the way to the dunes, it was pouring rain.
Boardwalk A straight section of the boardwalk that leads from the parking lot all the way to the ocean. Note the huge variety of vegetation.

Tracks Great post-rain afternoon light illuminating the sand where the 4x4s drive.
Sand Thanks to vehicles, no vegetation grows here... but it looks pretty neat.
