Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

Palm Trunk and Reflection
Tall Palms
_09/10/11_ Palm Trunk
In order to test out my new bike rack and bag, I went on a ride carrying my biggest lens. I definitely noticed the added pounds, but I think it will be good for commuting. I took a few photos, but nothing too exciting - this is looking up at a palm tree zoomed in all the way.

Hey You
Far, far below the road was a kid trying to get our attention - he saw the camera. Of course we took his photo, but I was hoping he would do something interesting.
Sunset
After dinner at Pieter's Place, we walked along the beach to head home.
Palm-lined Street
I'm not terribly happy with how this photo turned out, but there was something almost surreal about this road. It had a nice view, was lined with palm tree and the light was beautiful as the sun started going down. And yet, there were hardly any people around...

Some water had pooled in a big leaf and allowed for this cool reflection. Fun fact: the image has been rotated 180 degrees!
ZOMG!

_06/09/11_ Cretan Date Palm
This species of palm (Phoenix theophrasti) is very, very sharp. It's native to Crete (obviously), Greece and Turkey. And that's all for today! Stay tuned for tomorrow and this weeked - I'm renting a lens!
