Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

J&A Snapshot Grandstand Although it took a lot of careful work, I was able to balance my camera on a rock on the Grandstand, so I got some elevation to be able to point downwards and better show the vastness of the playa.

Joshua Tree Silhouette Racetrack Road
Joshua Tree Racetrack Road A nice bonus to driving to the Racetrack is seeing a Joshua Tree forest. They only grow at higher elevations, so you don't see them in the main part of Death Valley.
Blue Shirt Racetrack Playa This kid was part of a large family that was pretty spread out between the parking area and the Grandstand. His shirt matches the sky so nicely. I wanted to get a photo of him standing, but I guess it was time to sit down.

Lost Boys Racetrack Playa I thought this was cute. These two boys are walking across the Racetrack playa towards the Grandstand. But, you can imagine them heading off on their own adventure, like in some coming-of-age movie.
