Another steam photo in front of my green tile wall. Here's the one from last Thursday. For this shot I centered the flash behind the boiling pot and pointed it towards the steam. I like how the green tiles have a dark to light gradient from the bottom up, but the steam is pretty evenly lit.

Was hard boiling some eggs and decided to make my daily photo out of it, much like I did on 11/22/09. I set my flash on the stove (not the hot part, duh) and pointed it towards the steam. I focused on the rim of the lid and shot away. I found this shot the most interesting overall. The horizontal red/orange spots are lens flare as a result of the flash firing into the lens from the left. The green brick reflection is the tile on the back part of our stove.

Here's a shot of good ol' Kraft macaroni and cheese. The kitchen was getting really hot while I was cooking it and when I opened the door to let some cool air in, this perfect shaft of light hit right on the boiling pot. Unfortunately, the light was fading quick as the sun set behind a building, but I managed to get this shot before it did. The technical quality isn't great and I didn't have much time to frame it, but it's more or less what I wanted. Maybe I'll try it again soon, now that I know the light will be there.
