Welcome to the One/Day Project

Here you will find hundreds of photos that I've taken every day since 2/29/2008. I reached my initial goal of making it to leap day 2012 (after 1462 photos), but I'm still going - the new goal is to make it to Monday, 2/29/2016.

Every photo in these galleries is a unique creation from that day. My intent is to create art, and I've taken great care to create most of these photographs. In addition to not uploading simple snapshots, I try incredibly hard not to repeat myself.

Please enjoy, and feel free to comment. Like the shot? Give it a thumbs up. Really like it? Buy a print or digital download.

Thanks for looking!

We stopped by an open house today, and this scene caught my eye in a common area foyer. It was kind of random, but looked cool with the light coming in from this angle.
Also, wow! Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's photo, glad you liked it! I'd like to respond to everyone, but of course SmugMug kind of sucks for that... maybe changes are coming soon? I hope so. In the meantime, I do have a Facebook page where back-and-forth communication is a bit more robust.

2013-06-08 Purple Flowers
Today I walked nearly a mile! That's better than the 2 blocks I walked yesterday, and much better than being 100% homebound. So, I'm still sick, but feeling a little better. Hopefully the trend will continue, although I wish the pace would increase. A lot.
I took this shot when I was almost back to my house.

2013-05-08 Living Wall
Thanks for all the comments yesterday, I'm glad you liked my microwave tribute :)
Today's photo is part 2 of a previous photo - Dormant Wall. Just about 1.5 months ago, this wall was completely barren, and now it's completely covered. I'd say it was taken from the same spot, but my point of reference was so obscured that I'm not sure. Yay for spring!
And I realize 'living' is not the opposite of 'dormant'. Deal.

2013-03-27 Arches & Clock
I took some photos of the gorgeous Powell Library this afternoon, and this is my favorite, probably because I'm a sucker for symmetry. The clock was originally much higher on the wall, so I moved it down for a more pleasing composition. Cheating? Yeah... pretty much.
jawsnap trivia: this clock also made an appearance on 2009-03-23.

Yesterday's photo was of a baluster! What a strange word!

2013-03-23 Red Light
Flew into Tucson today, ate at Casa Molina. Delicious. This red light was in a little alcove near our table.

Eh, I'm not super-excited about this photo, but I've passed this wall covered in vines many times before and it always catches my eye! Soon enough the vines will spring back. Get it?

Update: Living Wall
