Aquarium of the Pacific's Photographer's Night, 9/25/11
All shots (except the first one) were taken with a 60mm macro lens with a rubber lens hood so I could get right up against the glass (acrylic, actually). I used both my own D80 and a borrowed D7000 during the night. I used my off-camera flash on the last three photos, and everything else used available light from the exhibits.

Comb jellies have to be the most mesmerizing animal I've ever seen. Their 'fins' are like little prisms and as they move, their edges light up like a pulsing rainbow. I wish I'd gotten this guy in the frame a little better, but oh well.
