Christmas Necklace
12/28/08
A festive Christmas necklace that my wife got from her parents several years ago. The background is an out-of-focus Christmas tree. I hung the necklace a few feet away and used the widest aperture to get the rounded points of light. Anything less than f/3.3 and the circles turned into hexagons. I pointed my flash at every possible angle to get even lighting, but this is the best I could do.
Thanks for the all the comments on yesterday's photo! I was so happy with how well it turned out, and it taught me not to be afraid of ISO 800! I have many more good photos from the museum, but you'll have to wait until I fly back to CA so I can use Lightroom to sort through them all. I'll definitely post when more are up!
