Blue Pattern
2009-05-07
Backlit macro shot of the Dr. Scholl's insert that came in my wife's Glamour. I'm not sure how useful a free "sample" of a shoe insert is, but hey, they're probably the first shoe insert company to do it. I set the insert over my flash and triggered it remotely, allowing some of the fabric backing to show through. I like the blue color, so I didn't mess with that at all, but I did lower the clarity and add a vignette.

on May 8, 2009cleaver or clever, it's all the same to marketing. ;-)
Great idea by the way, to use the strobe from behind for this. Here's another 5 from me...

on May 8, 2009Let me guess, they only put one in the magazine. How cleaver and cruel of the marketing geniuses to come up with that one. At least you got a pretty cool abstract out of the deal.
