Chain Reaction

Happy DST day! Not really, though, because I hate DST.
My wife and I went on a bike ride from Santa Monica to Venice this afternoon, and on the way back we noticed this really cool sculpture near Santa Monica city hall. It's called Chain Reaction (1991) by Paul Conrad and if I'd taken a photo of the entire thing, you'd see that it's shaped like a mushroom cloud. A plaque at the base says "This is a statement of peace. May it never become an epitaph."
