Pacific Sunset
2010-02-28 This evening I walked down to the beach for some sunset shots, much as I did last year. I put the camera on a tripod and got as low to the sand as I could and waited for the water to cover these two rocks, then opened the shutter for .8 seconds to get the motion of the retreating water. It's actually a composite - the main image had the sky blown out, so I stole the more detailed one from a photo I took a few seconds later. Also, this concludes my Year 2 of the One/Day Project!!! I started on 2/29/08, so tomorrow will be the start of Year 3! I'm excited to keep going - I've had a lot of fun so far, and I really appreciate the supportive community on SmugMug. I've also learned a lot along the way and it's very satisfying to go back to the earlier days and see personal improvement. I'm also working on changes to the website, so stay tuned and bear with me as I tweak things. I wrote a post about finishing two years on my blog, so check it out! Take care and see you all tomorrow!
