Suspended in Death

Quite a morbid title, no? In the botanical gardens, there are multiple spots along the path where a giant spider web is suspended above - I have to duck if I don't want a face full of web. This wasp was caught in one of them, but what really caught my eye was how the web appeared to be beaded (view in X3 if you can't tell). The sharp angle of the lines was interesting, too, it only occurred at this one "slice."
