2012-01-25 I love it when wandering around random buildings pays off. After work today, I decided to head up the elevator in a nearby building that's 8 stories high. Right outside the elevator it opened up to a huge South-facing balcony. I had amazing views of downtown LA, high-rises along Wilshire Boulevard, most of the UCLA campus and most of all - the ocean. The cherry on top was that I could see Santa Barbara island - the smallest of the Channel Islands. You NEVER see that one. Without a powerful zoom, it was hard to get a good shot of the view, so I focused on the sky's colors after the sun set. This metal post runs the entire length of the building.
