2011-07-10 This cool wrinkly rock is on it's way to becoming beach sand in a few thousand (?) years. The surrounding cliffs are also made up of crazy layers of rocks and sand, in various states of erosion. In the distance is Point Dume, which marks the northernmost point of the Santa Monica bay. I drove there this morning for the sunrise, which never came - too much marine layer. I do like this shot, but it'd be so much better if I had an ND filter so I could use a longer shutter speed and really blur the water. I should really just buy one... anyone have a recommendation? In related news, I posted a new collection of Reject Photos to my Flickr page, including a few more from today - www.flickr.com/photos/71165468@N00/sets/72157626336126062/ In other news, I finished up a new blog post about the Nikon 70-300mm lens I just bought! [last year] berry nice to see you, #4...
