Snow Capped
2011-05-15 After a quick trip to Denver for my sister's graduation, we hopped on a plane and flew back to Los Angeles this morning. Luckily we'll see her again in 2 days, since she's staying with us for a night before flying to Hawaii - her family's gift to her. Yep, we're awesome. Anyways, these are the Rocky Mountains, as you may have guessed. I like how the clouds are filling in all the canyons. I-70 is actually running the length of the foreground canyon that spans the image. Like pretty much all airplane photos, I had to add a lot of contrast, and I decided to mimic the actual color by using split toning. I was seated over the wing, so I was lucky to get this view when the pilot banked to the right - otherwise the engine was in the way. [last year]
