Tongva Palm

A view from the brand-new Tongva Park in Santa Monica. This cage-like structure overlooks Ocean Avenue and the Pacific Ocean beyond it. There are two of them, and from the road they look like the eyes of a giant half-buried mecha-frog.
I stopped by near the end of a 30-mile bike ride, so I was a little tired. I can't wait to go back and explore - it's neat to see a just-opened park with everything so shiny and new. A lot of thought went into it.
