Golden Trumpet Tree

There are two trees in UCLA's Court of Sciences that every Spring just explode in bright yellow for a short time. The lighting conditions weren't good when I walked by, so I got fancy and spun the camera during a +2EV exposure to blow out the sky and bring out the yellow. The trunk kind of looks like a creepy hand... Oh, and since you asked, the scientific name is Handroanthus (Tabebuia) chrysotricha. I know that because www.botgard.ucla.edu/plants.html
