Spider Macro

This little guy literally fell on me and then into the kitchen sink, where he was trapped. I took advantage of the situation and took some quick shots, before rescuing him with a fork and tossing him in some bushes outside. Anyone know what kind it is? I'm not sure I've ever seen a spider quite like this.

This is a 3-shot panorama stitched together on the iPhone using the Autostich app, the same thing I used for my <a href="http://www.jawsnap.net/Daily/year4/16022532_dVzfk#1381588854_3pnQKWh">7/12/11</a> daily. I'm still figuring out some interesting things about the app - this 3-shot panorama is higher resolution than a 20-shot panorama of the same scene, even though I told it to use the higher settings and it took a very long time to render... not sure what's going on there.
Anyways, this is the ceiling of Powell Library at UCLA, specifically the western staircase. It's a very pretty building...

Grabbed this shot in the library. I like the symmetry of the chairs with the messiness of the shelves. Most of the shelves are much more homogeneous than this one.
