Our annual Thanksgiving/Anniversary trip this year was to Big Bear Lake, about 2 ½ hours away in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was a pretty low-key trip, with no big hikes or major sight-seeing. It was fun to be in the mountains, and I had a lot of fun taking photos of the lake at sunrise and sunset.

Stone House An old, abandoned house overlooking the dam. It blends in nicely as far as the color goes. Apparently this is the old dam keeper's house, back when the dam had a keeper that lived next to it. I don't imagine that position is still in existence. Here's a depressing article about it:
