Big Bear | Nov 2012
Our annual Thanksgiving/Anniversary trip this year was to Big Bear Lake, about 2 ½ hours away in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was a pretty low-key trip, with no big hikes or major sight-seeing. It was fun to be in the mountains, and I had a lot of fun taking photos of the lake at sunrise and sunset.
As usual, everything is geotagged, so click Map This to see exactly where all of this stuff was.

Stanfield Marsh Boardwalk
2012-11-25
On our last day in Big Bear, we got up before the sunrise and headed out to the Stanfield March, which has this awesome boardwalk. There were lots of ducks, a very skittish heron, and even a pelican. It was below freezing at the time, and there was a good layer of frost on everything. I only saw one other person on the boardwalk the whole time I was out there.
[last year] one of my favorites from year 4...
