Big Bear | Nov 2012
Our annual Thanksgiving/Anniversary trip this year was to Big Bear Lake, about 2 ½ hours away in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was a pretty low-key trip, with no big hikes or major sight-seeing. It was fun to be in the mountains, and I had a lot of fun taking photos of the lake at sunrise and sunset.
As usual, everything is geotagged, so click Map This to see exactly where all of this stuff was.

Observatory This was taken from the top of the alpine slide. The bright white building is a solar observatory that it out on the lake. It has it's own website: Big Bear Solar Observatory It was closed for tours because it's getting an upgrade. Maybe next time.
