Big Bear | Nov 2012
Our annual Thanksgiving/Anniversary trip this year was to Big Bear Lake, about 2 ½ hours away in the San Bernardino Mountains. It was a pretty low-key trip, with no big hikes or major sight-seeing. It was fun to be in the mountains, and I had a lot of fun taking photos of the lake at sunrise and sunset.
As usual, everything is geotagged, so click Map This to see exactly where all of this stuff was.

Rim of the World The stretch of SR-18 that gets you from the Inland Empire to Running Springs (on the way to Big Bear) is called the Rim of the World Drive, with good reason. This photo doesn't represent the best view we got, just the one we actually pulled over for. For many windy miles, you get stunning views of the valley far, far below.
