Gutenberg
This, my friends, is a statue of Johannes Gutenberg, proudly overlooking the main plaza in town. He was from Mainz, and there's an amazing museum dedicated to the printed word, which includes three (THREE!) orignal B42 Gutenberg Bibles. They're called that because each page is 42 lines. I found it funny because those first books are actually replicas of handwritten bibles - they showed one side-by-side. The Gutenberg version is much cleaner!
