Visited Boston, MA and Newport, RI during a trip to Fairhaven, MA for a wedding. We stayed in Providence, RI. Got it?
In Boston we walked the entire Freedom Trail, seeing all the historical sites. In Newport we toured 3 mansions, although it was raining too hard to get any photos of the first one. Both days were incredibly overcast, so don't look for any pretty skies in these photos.

The Old State House, which is now a museum. The Boston Massacre happened in front of this building, and the Declaration of Independence was read to citizens for the first time from the balcony. This building was built for the British government and then used as the State House after the Revolution.
I really like how small it looks nestled in modern downtown Boston.
