Along with my wife and mom-in-law, I visited Orange City, Iowa in late April for my grandmother-in-law's 100th birthday. The small town (pop. 6k) is a Dutch enclave with windmills, wooden shoes and over half a dozen reformed churches. Most of these photos are from a single day that we spent driving around. A few at the end are from Omaha, where we flew into and out of.

Wooden Shoes Old Factory Coffee Shop This coffee shop has only been a coffee shop for a few years. It used to be a shoe factory, where the owner would carve wooden shoes with old equipment from Holland. The city now owns the equipment and they do demonstrations, and the coffee shop has left it up as kind of an exhibit.
