Colored Shadows
2010-01-24 These shadows are brought to you by the sun's low angle and four colored glass... things. They're almost like candle holders, but not quite. I honestly have no idea what they're for. Please comment if you do. The white background is a cloth napkin that I ironed for the occasion. I stood on a chair to get directly above and focused on the reflections, not the glass itself. I cleaned up in Lightroom and cropped so everything was centered. I don't really like the cloth as a background because it takes some detail out of the shadows, but 8.5x11" paper wasn't big enough, and that's all I have. [last year]

on February 9, 2010Ooooo - coooool! And the cloth napkin works well. I was thinking that it looked so smooth, not like fabric with a lot of texture. You must iron well or shoot well or process well (or all three!)!
