Giraffe Closeup
2009-03-01 Went to the LA Zoo today and got some nice shots of the giraffes and a few other animals. It was nice, but pretty hot, although I left around noon. Although it's edited a bit, I'm proud to say this photo is not cropped at all, I was able to get in super-close. I honestly wasn't expecting the giraffes to be my best subjects, usually the chimpanzees put on a good show. It was fun though, it's always nice to see the animals. I'll post some more shots in my critters gallery when I get a chance. Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's photo, I really appreciate it! And Happy March! Today we went to Sea World! I took a lot of shots, but this was my favorite - a simple dolphin portrait. We had a great time feeding them, although $6 for three measly fish seems a bit much. We also enjoyed feeding the sting rays!

Today we flew into Honolulu! My cousins picked us up and took us all over the North Shore. This turtle (and several of his friends) was on Ali'i Beach in Hale'iwa.
