2010-10-12 Fiery Path SETUP This was pretty simple - for the actual shot I placed the Roomba to be in the center of the frame, I shot at 18mm. Every light in the house was turned off, and I had to tape magazines over our front door windows because I can't turn off the outside light. I used my infrared remote trigger and had the camera on bulb mode, so I just waited until the Roomba started running into the tripod to close the shutter (the shoes didn't stop it). I had to reach under the candle holder to press the 'start cleaning' button. The first time, the candle almost bounced off because of our rough slate floors, so I cut a piece of thin packing foam to cushion it, which worked well.
