2011-03-28 Curly SETUP Here you can see where the plant got its name. I used clothespins and a plastic tray to position the flower how I wanted - it fell over otherwise. I made sure to not get only curtain in the background, which came out pure black. The white foam presentation board is set at an angle on some glasses - three in the front, one in the back. This was mainly so I could fit my head under it and get close enough to focus. The vase is there so the board doesn't slide off. I pointed the flash up at the board and used the bounce card to get a little better side lighting - I'm not sure if made much of a difference. I wanted to point out the air blower because the flower actually had a bunch of dust on it that you could barely see with the naked eye, but was glaring in the photo. I blasted the flower a few times between shots to get rid of some of it, but I still had to clean it up in Photoshop.
