Mortar & Pestle

This beautiful mortar and pestle was a gift from my parents this Christmas. And it matches our countertops!
Lit with a single off-camera flash with a softbox.
And thus ends 12 iPhone photos in a row. It's kind of fun to end streaks like that - like I'm starting a new mini-chapter. Since I got the iPhone 5, it's been the only camera I've used for dailies (although I did do this time lapse with the D7000). My overall conclusion: it's not noticeably different from the iPhone 4S camera.

on May 22, 2015I really like the material that is used for this counter top. It it a lot better for baking things since it doesn't stick to polishes countertop.
